Who the BP2400 is for
Builders and trades – silent site power
Events, markets, film crews and mobile catering
Camping, caravans and campervans
Home backup in a power cut
Battery safety and lifespan

The battery is rated for 3,000 full cycles. Charged and emptied twice a week, that is more than 25 years of cycling. In practice, calendar age and storage will set the limit before cycle count does.
How to recharge the BP2400
- Mains: up to 2,000W from a standard UK socket. An empty-to-full charge takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Solar panels: up to 400W through the MPPT input (10–60V DC, XT60). With 400W of solar panels in good sun, expect roughly 7 hours or more from empty. UK weather will usually make this longer.
- Car or van: from a 12V socket through the same input. Only charge with the engine running so the vehicle battery is not flattened.

BP2400 FAQs
Can a 2000W power station run a kettle?
Yes, as long as the kettle is rated at 2,000W or less. The BP2400’s 2,400W output handles a 2kW kettle. A full charge gives roughly an hour of kettle time, which is about 20 full boils.
How long will the BP2400 run a fridge?
A typical fridge-freezer averages around 60W once its compressor cycles on and off, so a full BP2400 runs it for about 36 hours.
Can I run a heater from the BP2400?
Yes, but not for long. A 2kW fan heater empties it in about an hour. A 1kW setting lasts about 2 hours. Heated throws and electric blankets (around 60W) are far more efficient and run for well over a day.
Can I use the BP2400 indoors?
Yes. There is no combustion, so there are no fumes and no carbon monoxide. Keep the vents clear and do not cover the unit while it is running.
Can I link two BP2400s together?
No. The BP2400 is a standalone unit and does not support parallel connection. If you need more power or capacity, the WAVE 4200 gives 4,200W and expands to 18,432Wh.
Will it keep my computer on in a power cut?
Plugged into the mains with your equipment connected to it, the BP2400 switches to battery in 20ms or less. That is quick enough for most PCs, routers and NAS drives. For critical servers, use a dedicated online UPS.
How should I store it over winter?
Store it somewhere dry between 0°C and 25°C, at around half charge, and top it up at least every six months. The cells will not charge below 0°C. The BP2400 pauses charging automatically and resumes once the battery warms to 5°C.
Can I connect it to my house wiring?
Only through a proper changeover switch fitted by a qualified electrician. Never back-feed a house through a socket.
